Abbas Basafa, the manager of the smart fuel system at the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, referred to the legal obligation of using personal fuel cards and ensuring emergency fuel supply for the people. Basafa stressed that efforts are being made to create conditions that prevent citizens from facing problems while refueling, simultaneously with the implementation of this law.
Obligation to Use Personal Fuel Cards
According to the new law, the use of personal fuel cards must be prioritized. Basafa added: "We are in the process of creating the necessary infrastructure to increase the use of personal fuel cards, but alongside that, appropriate measures must be taken for emergency situations as well." These statements are particularly made in circumstances where individuals may face issues while traveling due to forgetting their personal fuel card.

Provision of Emergency Fuel Cards
The manager of the smart fuel system emphasized the necessity of having emergency fuel cards available at fuel stations. He explained that "if an individual realizes during their trip that they do not have their personal fuel card with them, access to an emergency card at the stations is crucial. If the emergency card is also not available at the station, this individual will face serious problems." Basafa noted that the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company and the smart fuel system always aim to ensure that no citizen faces issues in securing fuel.
These actions demonstrate the serious determination of the Ministry of Oil and the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company to improve refueling conditions in the country. Basafa pointed out that the ultimate goal is to ensure that while implementing the law and increasing the use of personal fuel cards, the possibility of providing fuel in emergency situations is also available for the people.
