The head of the Ministry of Oil emphasized the simultaneous activity of Iran's political and energy diplomacy, announcing the achievements of intensive consultations with officials and major energy companies in Russia and other member countries of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF). These consultations have been conducted to develop oil and gas cooperation and define joint projects in this sector.

Details of Oil and Gas Cooperation

In this regard, the head of the Ministry of Oil announced plans to create joint projects in oil and gas fields. Cooperation with Russia, as one of the largest oil and gas producers in the world, will provide new opportunities for Iran. The main goal of these collaborations is to increase oil and gas production capacity in shared fields and improve the technologies used in this industry.

Joint Projects and Field Capacities

According to available information, Iran's oil and gas fields have high capacities that can be further exploited through international cooperation. For example, the South Pars shared field, with a daily production capacity of over 700 million cubic meters of gas, is considered one of the most important gas fields in the Middle East. Additionally, the Azadegan oil field, with a production capacity of 400,000 barrels per day, is another strategic field in Iran that can achieve greater efficiency in collaboration with Russia.

This cooperation will not only help increase production but can also lead to the transfer of modern technologies from Russia to Iran. This will strengthen Iran's energy infrastructure and enhance its competitive ability in the global oil and gas market.

Furthermore, recent consultations with other member countries of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum demonstrate Iran's serious determination to increase its role in the global gas market. With the second-largest natural gas reserves in the world, Iran seeks to increase its share of global markets and improve trade relations with allied countries.
