The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) is established as an international entity to coordinate and cooperate among gas-producing countries, and according to available statistics, this forum has 13 member countries recognized as the largest exporters of natural gas in the world. The gas production capacity of these countries constitutes over 70 percent of total global gas exports.
In this summit, member countries emphasized the necessity of strengthening cooperation in energy supply and addressing global challenges. The doctors also examined global trends in the gas market and their impacts on the economies of exporting countries.
The results of this summit, especially in the current conditions where economic and environmental crises have increased globally, can significantly assist member countries in strengthening their position in the global gas market. Especially gas-exporting countries like Russia and Qatar, which have rich natural gas resources, can contribute to sustainable energy development through joint cooperation.
