Peyman Khodrayi, the CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company, at a meeting to review the performance and improvement plans of this company, emphasized the importance of transmitted gas as the core of the business and one of the key sources of revenue. He stated that protecting transmitted gas should be considered one of the strategic priorities of the company, as this issue has economic, technical, operational, and national dimensions.

Shared Responsibility in Protecting Transmitted Gas

Khodrayi pointed out that the National Iranian Gas Company is not solely responsible for gas transmission, adding: "We are responsible for protecting the gas that passes through the extensive transmission network as the main product of the business. Therefore, we must pay special attention to the quantitative and qualitative measurement of gas." He continued that accuracy in measuring the quantity and quality of gas and transparency in gas balance will enable better resource management and increase efficiency.

The Role of Operational Areas in Enhancing Efficiency

The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company, emphasizing the role of operational areas in achieving the company's goals, stated: "Reducing unaccounted gas and protecting transmitted gas is a shared and comprehensive responsibility that extends from measurement systems to the management level of this company." He added that it is expected that with the specialized synergy of regions, staff management, and maximum utilization of data and technology capacity, we will witness the continuation of improvement and enhancement of efficiency in the transmission network.

Finally, Khodrayi noted that achieving these goals requires an integrated approach and cooperation among all sectors and stakeholders. This collaboration can significantly help reduce losses and increase revenues from transmitted gas.
