Mohsen Paknejad, the former Minister of Oil of Iran, announced his resignation in a statement on the social media platform X, stating that it was unrelated to the recent claims made by Donald Trump, the former President of the United States. In this statement, he emphasized that he is one of the millions of martyrs of Iran and a soldier of the homeland.

Continuation of Iran's Oil Production and Exports Under Sanctions

Paknejad pointed to the severe sanctions imposed on Iran after Trump's tenure as Minister of Oil, stating that with the determination and efforts of the oil industry staff, the production and export of oil in the country have continued even under sanctions and siege. He added: "Although I was sanctioned only a few months after taking office by the number one enemy of the Iranian people, thanks to God, the process of producing and exporting Iran's oil has been maintained despite the serious challenges that existed."

Analysis of Trump's Claims and Their Consequences

Paknejad further referred to Trump's claims and said: "They have suffered a heavy blow; it is natural for them to resort to making such false claims." These statements reflect Paknejad's concern about the negative impacts of these claims on the oil industry and the country's economy. He also pointed out that the efforts to tarnish Iran's image on the international stage by enemies continue, and these claims could align with these goals.

The former Minister of Oil also highlighted the crucial role of oil industry staff in maintaining and continuing production activities, referring to them as the real heroes in difficult circumstances. This emphasis on the determination and efforts of the staff reflects Iran's strong will to confront challenges and maintain the country's independence.

Paknejad stressed the necessity of unity and solidarity between the people and officials, stating that confronting external pressures and threats requires cooperation and collaboration among all sectors of the country. He also emphasized the importance of preserving oil resources and developing related infrastructures so that Iran can effectively participate in the global oil market.
