Hamid Bord today (Tuesday, October 6) began his role as the caretaker of the Ministry of Oil in a ceremony attended by Mohammad Reza Aref, the First Vice President. In this ceremony, Bord expressed gratitude for the efforts of Mohsen Paknejad, the former Minister of Oil, especially during the 12 and 40-day wars, and expressed hope that he could assist the government and the country.
Commitment to continue activities in the Ministry of Oil
Bord announced that he and his colleagues are committed to continuing the activities of the Ministry of Oil with intensity. He emphasized: "The perspective of all my colleagues, from senior managers to operational staff, is a national perspective" and added that operational staff have performed better and stronger during the war.

The role of the oil industry in the country's economy
The caretaker of the Ministry of Oil also pointed out that the oil industry has fulfilled its duty in historical junctures in an optimal manner, stating: "The policies and production and development programs of this industry are clear, and matters are being pursued vigorously." He described the oil industry as the locomotive of the country's economy and said: "Movement in the oil industry leads to development and movement in other sectors of the country."
Bord emphasized the collaboration of the government with the oil industry, stating: "I hope that by alleviating constraints, this industry will shine in these challenging times just as it has in the past."
At the end of this ceremony, Bord once again thanked the First Vice President and the attendees. Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, on Sunday, October 1, in a decree accepting the resignation of Mohsen Paknejad from the position of Minister of Oil, appointed Hamid Bord as the caretaker of this ministry.
