In a meeting chaired by Farakh Ali Khani, head of executive affairs and integrated planning manager of the National Iranian Oil Company, the necessary measures for maximal production of gas from the South Pars field in winter were reviewed. This meeting was attended by Reza Khailai, manager of oil and gas production supervision at the National Iranian Oil Company, Touraj Dehghani, CEO of South Pars Oil and Gas Company, and other senior managers from both companies.

Gas Production Status from South Pars Field

The South Pars gas field, as a supplier of more than 70 percent of the country's gas, was specifically discussed in this meeting. Ali Khani referred to the strategic role of this field in the country's economy and energy security and appreciated the tireless efforts of the employees and specialists of South Pars Oil and Gas Company. He emphasized that activities must continue rapidly to achieve maximal gas production during the cold months of the year.

Ongoing Programs and Challenges

In this meeting, the status of gas extraction from the South Pars field and production plans in the face of challenges arising from recent wars were also discussed. Ali Khani added: "The National Iranian Oil Company fully supports the ongoing work and efforts in the production and reconstruction of South Pars." Khailai also stated that achieving maximal gas production is one of the most important priorities of the Ministry of Oil in line with the goals of serving compatriots and emphasized the cooperation of the National Iranian Oil Company in this regard.

Dehghani's Report on Refineries Status

Touraj Dehghani, CEO of South Pars Oil and Gas Company, provided a comprehensive report on the current actions and ongoing programs regarding gas production and the reconstruction of damaged refineries in phases 4 and 5, phases 9 and 10, and phase 14 of South Pars. He announced that, with the cooperation of contracting sectors and around-the-clock work, the gradual revival of damaged refinery lines aimed at assisting the country's gas network is on the agenda.

According to Dehghani, during the 12-day wars and Ramadan, five South Pars refineries were targeted by enemy attacks, and their reconstruction is underway to restore the maximal gas production capacity of the country. These actions are being pursued to secure the gas needed for the country in the cold season and reduce dependence on foreign resources.
