Abadan Petrochemical showed better performance in September 2026 with a production of 2,775 tons of product compared to the previous month. The company's revenue reached approximately 623 billion tomans, reflecting a 37% growth compared to August. This increase in production and revenue indicates an improvement in the activities of this petrochemical company.

Details of Production and Sales Growth

Production at Abadan Petrochemical in September 2026 increased by about 182% compared to the 985 tons produced in August. Additionally, production in September was more than two and a half times higher than the 1,073 tons recorded in September of last year. The company's sales also grew by 34% to reach 3,118 tons.

The selling price of PVC products, which accounts for a significant portion of Abadan Petrochemical's revenue, increased from about 229 million tomans per ton in August to about 256 million tomans in September. This price increase, along with the growth in sales volume, were key factors in raising monthly revenue to 623 billion tomans.

Energy and Raw Material Consumption

Despite the growth in production, Abadan Petrochemical still faces challenges with energy consumption. In September, the company consumed 7,920 megawatt-hours of electricity and 5.34 million cubic meters of fuel gas. The specific electricity consumption reached about 2.85 megawatt-hours per ton of product, which has increased compared to last year.

In terms of raw material purchases, Abadan Petrochemical purchased 4,811 tons of EDC and 154 tons of benzene in September. The value of raw material purchases this month was about 241 billion tomans, and in the six-month period, EDC purchases reached 12,702 tons.

The growth of Abadan Petrochemical's production over the six-month period has also been significant, with the company's production increasing from 2,922 tons to 12,461 tons, equivalent to a growth of over 326%. Sales also increased from 2,293 tons to 12,633 tons, and six-month revenue reached approximately 2,406 billion tomans.

Ultimately, despite the significant revenue growth, Abadan Petrochemical faces challenges related to energy consumption and dependence on PVC products, and future reports may provide a better picture of the sustainability of this growth.
