Winning New Block Auction
1947 Oil & Gas also acquired two new blocks, West Delta 133 and South Timbalier 314, in the Gulf of Mexico lease auction held on August 12. These two blocks, covering an area of 10,000 acres, were previously held by Renaissance and now have a lower royalty rate of 12.5 percent, which could improve the economic conditions for redeveloping these blocks. The total bids for this auction were approximately $260,000.
