The Acting Minister of Oil visited Assaluyeh to follow up on the reconstruction of the damaged refineries in the South Pars gas field. This visit comes at a time when the oil industry is striving to restore its gas production capacity to normal after the damages caused by attacks on gas facilities. The average gas production capacity of the South Pars field is 700 million cubic meters per day, and these efforts have intensified ahead of winter to ensure sustainable gas supply for the country.

Reconstruction Efforts and Securing Financial Resources

During this trip, the Acting Minister of Oil emphasized the necessity of securing financial resources to expedite the implementation of reconstruction projects for gas facilities. Given that the damages to the gas facilities have led to a reduction in gas production, identifying and removing financial obstacles is considered one of the main priorities of this trip. According to forecasts, with the completion of reconstruction projects, the gas production capacity of the South Pars field will gradually return to normal.

Preparation for Winter

With winter approaching, ensuring sustainable gas supply for residential and industrial uses is a fundamental necessity. In this regard, the Acting Minister of Oil held meetings with the managers of the damaged refineries in the South Pars field to review the operational plans for faster reconstruction and commissioning of the facilities. Experts have predicted that with the efforts being made, gas production in the South Pars field will return to normal soon, preventing serious energy supply issues.
