The head of the Technology and Innovation Park of the Oil Industry stated: The goal is to pursue the acceptance of companies, evaluation, provision of facilities, establishment, contract signing, and their connection to the demand of the oil industry within a continuous and structured process, and this collection is ready to develop such collaborations.
Proposals and Joint Collaborations
Ahmadkhanbeigi proposed: The Innovation and Prosperity Fund of the Presidential Institution can introduce companies that have suitable capacity for activity in the oil industry, and the Technology and Innovation Park of the Oil Industry can provide the capacities for establishment, facilitation of contract signing, and connecting these companies to technology-demanding entities.
Reza Ghorbani, Deputy for Innovation and Technology Development of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund of the Presidential Institution, also stated at this meeting: The Innovation and Prosperity Fund is ready to collaborate with the Technology and Innovation Park of the Oil Industry and other related funds to design joint financing models for technology companies.
He added: This collaboration can utilize various tools of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund of the Presidential Institution, including providing facilities, assisting in securing guarantees and collateral guarantees, and investment, and in collaboration with financial agents, it can create the ground for joint financing of technology companies.
The Deputy for Innovation and Technology Development of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund of the Presidential Institution emphasized: The priority of the fund is to allocate resources purposefully and in areas that will have greater impacts and results for the country, instead of companies seeking financial support sporadically.
Ghorbani continued: If the companies for which the Technology Park of the Oil Industry has identified contract signing capacity and a specific market are aggregated into an investment portfolio, the investment risk can be reduced, and the capacity of venture capital companies can be utilized to finance them.
He said: Instead of financing companies separately, several companies with technical capabilities and a specific market can be grouped into a portfolio, and various joint investment mechanisms can be designed for them.
The Deputy for Innovation and Technology Development of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund of the Presidential Institution added: This model can help aggregate financial resources and reduce investment risk, paving the way for larger resources to enter technological projects in the oil industry.
Ghorbani welcomed the proposal for collaboration with the Technology and Innovation Park of the Oil Industry, stating: This combined model can lay the groundwork for the formation of new collaborations between the park, the fund, financial agents, and technology companies, and show the impacts of these supports purposefully in the oil industry and the country.
