Seyed Abbas Araghchi, referring to the meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) leaders on his personal page on the social media platform X, emphasized that Iran's energy diplomacy has been significantly strengthened at this meeting. This meeting, dedicated to examining global gas market developments and energy security, is considered an important step towards maintaining and enhancing relations among gas-exporting countries.
Global Gas Market Developments
At this meeting, various topics regarding the global gas market and its impacts on the energy security of different countries were discussed. Araghchi pointed out the current conditions of the gas market, highlighting the concerns of both gas-exporting and gas-consuming countries, and stated that the challenges and threats arising from the military adventures of the Zionist regime in the Persian Gulf could have negative repercussions for international markets.

Security and Economic Consequences
As one of the largest natural gas producers in the world, Iran emphasized the importance of energy security in the region and its role in meeting global needs at this meeting. Iran's gas production capacity in fields like South Pars, which is considered one of the largest natural gas fields in the world, significantly influences the gas market situation. This field, with a daily production capacity of 700 million cubic meters of gas, plays a key role in meeting domestic energy needs and exporting gas to neighboring countries.
Given the changes in the global market and the increasing demand for gas, Iran is seeking to strengthen its relations with other GECF member countries. These relations could lead to the establishment of an effective cooperation network in the field of energy supply, benefiting all member countries.
Araghchi also emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the fields of energy and gas, stating that Iran's energy diplomacy is being used as an effective tool to address global challenges. According to him, the necessity for convergence among gas-exporting countries to optimally manage resources and global markets is increasingly felt.
