Smart Ship Hub, a marine intelligence platform specializing in high-frequency marine data collection and analysis, held the international documentary screening of All the World Is Green in collaboration with the Chellaram Foundation in India. This invitation-only event took place at the Royal Western India Turf Club in Pune and attracted the attention of ship owners, maritime managers, health professionals, entrepreneurs, academics, and sustainability advocates.
Exploring the Links Between Sustainability and Health
The documentary screening, following previous successes in Singapore and Hong Kong, examined the relationship between food systems, human health, environmental sustainability, and living with empathy. The film illustrates how everyday choices can have profound consequences for people, animals, and the planet. Smart Ship Hub, as one of the leading companies in improving operational performance for ship owners and monitoring pollutant emissions, believes that sustainability must extend beyond ship operations.

Discussing Global Challenges
The event began with a recorded speech from Lal Chellaram, Chairman of the Chellaram Group, who emphasized the importance of collective action in addressing global health and sustainability challenges. Dr. Manjusha Gumare, Head of the Chellaram Women's Health Center, concluded the program by discussing the connection between preventive health, nutrition, and lifestyle choices.
Joe Basu, CEO of Smart Ship Hub, stated, "The transportation industry is experiencing one of the biggest transformations in its history as it addresses digitalization and carbon reduction. Technology is a vital part of this journey, but sustainability ultimately relates to people and the choices we make." He also expressed that their company has a responsibility not only to develop technologies that make transportation cleaner and more efficient but also to foster broader conversations that contribute to healthier communities and a more sustainable future.
Feedback from participants reflected the strong impact of the documentary. Nearly 90% of attendees described the film as having a strong or life-changing impact on them, while 84% said they would likely increase their plant-based food choices after the screening. Participants praised the documentary for encouraging thoughtful discussions about health, environmental sustainability, and individual responsibility.
For Smart Ship Hub, this initiative points to a broader philosophy that businesses can create greater value beyond their core products and services by promoting collaboration across sectors. As the maritime industry continues to transition towards cleaner and smarter operations, the company believes that meaningful sustainability requires technological innovation and individual action. By bringing together stakeholders from various industries, Smart Ship Hub hopes to encourage dialogues that inspire positive changes both within and beyond the maritime industry.
