Other Candidates for the Ministry of Oil
Masoud Karbasian, another candidate for the Ministry of Oil, has previously served as the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company and has a long history in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance and other related institutions. He has also been active in the Ministry of Commerce and Customs. With several years of experience in the oil and gas sector, Karbasian could be a serious candidate for this ministry.
Hamid Bord, the current caretaker of the Ministry of Oil, is also among the other candidates. Bord, who was the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company from 1403 to 1405, has extensive experience in the oil and gas field. He has also served as the Deputy Minister of Oil for Oil Affairs, CEO of the Iranian Continental Shelf Oil Company, and CEO of the National South Oilfields Company.
Alongside these individuals, the name of Mansour Moazami, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and CEO of the Organization for the Development and Renovation of Industries of Iran, has also been mentioned among the candidates. These selections reflect the current need for experienced and efficient managers in the oil industry.
It is worth mentioning that on the twelfth day of Mehr, the Deputy for Communications and Information of the President's Office announced that Mohsen Paknejad had resigned from his position in the Ministry of Oil for personal reasons. This resignation, which was initially not accepted by the President, was eventually accepted upon his insistence, and Dr. Pezeshkian appointed Hamid Bord as the caretaker of the Ministry of Oil.
Seyyed Mahdi Tabatabai, as the spokesperson for the Ministry of Oil, explained the reasons for Mohsen Paknejad's resignation and, while appreciating his efforts, referred to the managerial changes in this ministry. These changes could have significant impacts on the activities of the country's oil and gas sector, and thus attention to the available candidates for the Ministry of Oil is of high importance.
