Ali Akbar Karimi, a member of the Economic Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in remarks dedicated to examining the capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, referred to the country's defensive and deterrent capabilities. He stated that Iran, despite all difficulties and challenges, possesses the necessary capabilities to respond to threats.

People's Resilience and Economic Requirements

Karimi emphasized that the people of Iran have always stood by the country and the system, adding: "Despite economic pressures and sanctions, the people have defended the values and principles of the system and have shown that they remain committed to national interests in these difficult circumstances." This member of parliament also pointed out the importance of strengthening domestic production and noted that alongside defensive capacities, greater attention should be paid to economic development and progress.

Sustainable Development and National Production

He highlighted the necessity of creating the required infrastructure for economic growth, stating: "Given external threats, it is essential that the country's economic system be designed in a way that increases its resilience against pressures." Karimi emphasized that this can only be achieved by strengthening domestic production and supporting national industries. According to him, this action will not only enhance the living standards of the people but can also make the country more resilient against sanctions and economic pressures.

Karimi also stated that "Iran, benefiting from rich natural and human resources, has high capacities for production and exports" and, citing statistics, asserted that these capacities should be utilized effectively. He believes that by strengthening the private sector and creating a suitable entrepreneurial environment, economic growth and sustainable development can be achieved.

Ultimately, the member of parliament emphasized that constructive interaction between the public and private sectors is the key to achieving these goals. He called for greater attention to the real needs of the people and industries of the country and urged the government to make precise plans to provide necessary facilities and support.
