Mehdi Timouri, along with a group of experts from the Environmental Protection Agency of Ilam Province, visited the development project of the Cheshmeh Khosh, Dalpari, and East Paydar oil fields located in the Dasht Abbas operational area, Dehloran County. The purpose of this visit was to review the latest status of managing historical pollution hotspots, wastewater management, reducing flaring, and other environmental programs related to this project.
Production statistics and environmental actions
Majid Najarian, the project manager for the development of the Cheshmeh Khosh, Dalpari, and East Paydar fields, announced that oil present in the lagoon is continuously collected, and currently about 55 tons of oil is transferred daily to the processing unit. To protect wildlife and reduce environmental risks, a perimeter fence and bird protection equipment have been installed around the lagoon.

Najarian also announced the finalization of the engineering for the thermal remediation of historically contaminated soils and stated that this project is now in the basic engineering design phase. Contracts have been signed with qualified contractors for the remediation of old fuel pits.
Water extraction halt and future plans
The implementation of the industrial wastewater treatment unit is considered another important action of this project. With the establishment of this unit, the daily extraction of 500 cubic meters of water from underground sources will be halted. Najarian also reported on the implementation of wastewater management programs, the construction of watering holes, and the creation of a green corridor, emphasizing that the reduction of gases sent to the flare through transfer to the NGL 3100 unit and studies for the construction of a 30-megawatt solar power plant at the Cheshmeh Khosh field are also being pursued.
The head of the Environmental Protection Agency of Ilam Province expressed satisfaction with the progress of corrective and environmental actions, emphasizing the continuation of the remediation of historical pollution hotspots, wastewater management, reducing flaring, and implementing environmental programs. Timouri considered the Cheshmeh Khosh development project as a model for other developmental projects.
The development and production project of the Cheshmeh Khosh, Dalpari, and East Paydar oil fields, with a daily production capacity of 126,000 barrels of crude oil, is the second contract from the IPC oil contracts signed with the international company ZN Vostok of Russia. The development and production operations of this project are currently proceeding according to the comprehensive field development plan (DPOP).
