Manouchehr Fallah, the CEO of the Gas Company of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, announced the removal of 100,000 gas cylinders from the consumption basket of households in this province and stated that the number of gas subscribers in this region has reached approximately 230,000.
Development of Gas Supply Infrastructure
Fallah further added: The development of gas supply infrastructure in various areas is rapidly underway, and the process of benefiting cities and villages from natural gas continues steadily. He mentioned that 30% of the province benefits from natural gas and said: Currently, 18 cities in the province are connected to the network, gas supply operations are being carried out in 22 cities, and 15 more cities are in the design and contracting phase.

Status of Gas Supply to Villages and Industry
The CEO of the Gas Company of the province pointed out that there are about 3,600 villages in the province, stating: So far, 338 villages have been supplied with gas, 550 villages are under execution, and about 2,000 villages are in the design phase. In the industrial sector, out of 28 industrial estates in the province, 9 estates have been connected to the natural gas network, and execution operations are underway in four industrial estates.
Development of Clean Fuel Infrastructure
Fallah also referred to the development of clean fuel infrastructure and said: Out of the 16 existing CNG stations, 9 stations have been supplied with gas, and 6 other stations are under execution. Additionally, one station is in the design phase. He added: The power plants in Iranshahr, Zahedan, Konarak, and also the combined cycle plants in Iranshahr and Chabahar currently benefit from natural gas, and this is effective in reducing the consumption of liquid fuels and increasing production stability.
Gas Network Maintenance Programs
Fallah, referring to the gas network maintenance programs and the annual leak detection of 5,500 kilometers of the province's gas network, added: Leak detection operations are carried out in two sections: surface and underground facilities, and out of the targeted savings of 2.5 million cubic meters from this source, 500,000 cubic meters have been achieved so far. He also mentioned the 10,000-kilometer gas supply network in Sistan and said: So far, 7,000 kilometers of it have been supplied with gas, and more than 1,000 kilometers will be supplied with gas by the end of the year.
The CEO of the Gas Company of Sistan and Baluchestan emphasized the reduction of dependence on liquid fuels in border areas, stating: The development and completion of the gas supply network in the eastern part of the country is one of the most effective solutions to reduce the need for liquid fuel distribution and combat fuel smuggling.
