Features of Razavi Petrochemical
Razavi Petrochemical Complex, located in the special economic zone of Imam Khomeini Port (Mahshahr), is one of the oldest and most important petrochemical companies in Iran, with its establishment and initial operation dating back to the 1960s. This complex spans approximately 100 hectares and has multiple factories for producing strategic products such as ammonia, urea fertilizer, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and sulfur.
The main products of Razavi Petrochemical include ammonia and urea fertilizer, which help supply nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers for agricultural fields across the country and provide raw materials for other chemical industries, as well as exporting sulfur and ammonia to regional and global markets.
Challenges and Future Plans
The tenure of Hossein Mousazadeh as CEO of Razavi Petrochemical coincides with several key focal points and significant challenges in the petrochemical industry. Among these challenges is the sustainable supply of sour and sweet gas feedstock, which highlights the dependency of this complex's processes on natural gas as feed and fuel.
