Throughout his professional career, he has worked in various industrial sectors, including petrochemicals, steel, and energy, and has served on the board of directors of prominent companies such as Oxin Steel Khuzestan, Iran Alloy Steel, and Ahvaz Pipe Manufacturing.

Maravid Petrochemical, which was under Khoshbinfar's management, is located in the Pars Energy Special Economic Zone in Assaluyeh and produces petrochemical products including ethylene and monoethylene glycol. During his management, significant projects such as the use of domestically produced catalysts in the monoethylene glycol production process were initiated.
Technology Development and Utilization of Domestic Capabilities
Khoshbinfar emphasized the improvement of production processes and the use of domestically manufactured equipment at Maravid Petrochemical. In 2025, he announced Maravid Petrochemical's plan to utilize domestically produced ethylene oxide catalysts, which could reduce reliance on imports and lower supply costs.
Additionally, in Bahman 2025, the twelfth round of the petrochemical industry excellence award evaluation was held at Maravid Petrochemical. In this meeting, Khoshbinfar stressed the importance of utilizing domestic technical knowledge and continuous improvement of organizational processes. These approaches help strengthen domestic capabilities and reduce costs in the country's petrochemical industries.
Hossam Khoshbinfar also has experience managing manufacturing companies and serving on the boards of energy and petrochemical-related companies. He has worked as the CEO and board member of Imam Khomeini Oil Refining Company in Shazand and Nour Petrochemical. Nour Petrochemical is one of the producers of aromatic products in Iran's petrochemical industry.
