Gholamhossein Mozaffari, the governor of Khorasan Razavi, issued an ultimatum to the Oil Refining and Distribution Company of the province during the forty-fifth session of the "Economic Sundays" series held this morning (Sunday, October 12, 2026) to determine the 38 million liters fuel quota for industries. He criticized the problems in fuel supply and the lack of coordination among various agencies.
Challenges in Fuel Supply for Industries
In this session, Mozaffari, while appreciating the efforts of private sector economic activists, referred to the challenges in fuel supply, branches, securing foreign currency from exports, and mining royalties, stating: "There is still no reasonable uniformity among the agencies." He emphasized: "The Oil Refining and Distribution Company must respond to the request of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization for supplying fuel to industries and should not wait for someone to approach them. Allocation of 38 Million Liters of Fuel
The governor of Khorasan Razavi emphasized that in previous meetings, it had been officially communicated from Tehran that 38 million liters of fuel had been allocated for the province's industrial consumption for the coming months. He stated: "Many industries have reserved capacity, and the situation where the company announces 'I have not been informed' and delays the work is unacceptable." Mozaffari also expressed hope that the fuel issue should be resolved today.
Holding an International Mining Exhibition
He referred to the holding of the international mining exhibition in the province and said that this exhibition would be a suitable opportunity to introduce Khorasan Razavi as an industrial hub in the mining sector. This exhibition will help attract domestic and foreign investments, and the governor invited all economic activists to pay attention to this matter. Mozaffari also announced plans to host political and business delegations from Central Asian countries in the coming months and emphasized the importance of exhibition infrastructure and creating a permanent venue for introducing industrial products.
