Saeed Tavakoli, CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company, discussed the status of gas supply to industries in the first half of this year. He emphasized that there has been no limitation on gas supply for major industries, especially the steel and petrochemical industries. Tavakoli pointed to the damages inflicted on these industries during the imposed war, highlighting the current capabilities of the gas industry in ensuring sustainable gas supply.

Performance in the First Half of 1402

The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company referred to the country's refinery conditions following recent events, stating that success in crisis management and the stability of the gas network is evident. He compared the performance of the first six months of this year with the same period last year, announcing that the volume of gas delivered to the gas network was about 14% lower. However, the share of gas supply to power plants was approximately maintained at the same level, with 85% this year and 86% last year of the fuel basket needs of power plants being met by gas.

Economic Turnaround and Resilience of the Gas Network

Tavakoli emphasized that these figures indicate the high resilience of the country's gas network under difficult conditions. He also noted that the gas industry has prioritized fuel supply to power plants, exerting all its efforts to maintain gas flow in the production and industrial sectors. The main goal of these actions is to prevent electricity imbalance and ensure the continuation of the country's economic activities under challenging production conditions.

The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company concluded by stating that sustainable gas supply, as one of the essential needs of industries and power plants, is crucial for preserving and developing the country's economy. With this approach, it is expected that the gas industry will be able to effectively meet future challenges and serve as a fundamental pillar in supplying the country's energy.
