The Thordon water quality package, equipped with an advanced hydrocyclone separation unit, is capable of removing abrasive particles larger than 100 microns without the need for costly filter replacements. This method significantly reduces maintenance costs and system downtime while improving bearing performance.
The Columbia Basin Hydropower facilities, emphasizing the reliability and long lifespan of Thordon bearings, consider this project one of their most successful and low-maintenance power plants. A spare bearing remains on-site ready for operation, demonstrating confidence in modern technologies.
