Fajr Jam Gas Refinery has been prepared for stable gas production in the cold months of the year after 140 days of major repairs. These repairs were conducted to enhance operational readiness and improve the reliability of equipment to enable maximum gas production in winter.

Details of Major Repairs

Hamid Khodari, CEO of Fajr Jam Gas Refinery, stated that a total of nearly 340,000 man-hours of work have been recorded in the major repair project of this company. In this operation, five sweetening trains, six boilers, two incinerators, and a range of auxiliary equipment and units underwent major repairs.

Inspection, repair, refurbishment, and modernization activities of equipment in various areas of the refinery, including sweetening and dehydration processing units, rotating machinery including turbo compressors and pumps, electrical equipment, and control and instrumentation systems were carried out. Additionally, repairs of support units for the main process from the control air and nitrogen systems, flare, and discharge network were included in the repair program.

Utilization of Domestic Capacities

Khodari continued that in the first six months of the year, major repairs of dozens of fixed equipment were completed, and actions such as sandblasting, painting, and insulation were also carried out simultaneously with repair activities. The repair, refurbishment, and preparation of hundreds of industrial valves and conducting technical tests and trials were performed using domestic facilities and the capabilities of the company's specialized human resources.

He emphasized the role of major repairs in the sustainability of gas production, stating that these actions were aimed at reducing the likelihood of unexpected shutdowns, increasing the reliability of equipment, and providing the necessary capacity for receiving and maximizing the processing of gas feedstock. The readiness of sweetening and cooling units is also pursued after conducting controls and inspections for operation.

The CEO of Fajr Jam Gas Refinery also referred to the necessity of the refinery's readiness for the cold months of the year, saying: Continuous maximum and uninterrupted production, in addition to conducting major repairs, depends on the proper management of the maximum refining processes of the feedstock received from upstream sources. Accordingly, precise planning, timely resource provision, and coordination among different units to achieve production goals are on the agenda.

He reported that over 83,000 man-hours of safety, health, and environmental (HSE) training were recorded in the first six months of this year and stated: The major repairs of refinery units were completed without incident by implementing safety requirements and continuous monitoring of operational activities. Additionally, the continuous presence of HSE officers at the work site, monitoring environmental conditions, controlling personal protective equipment, and reviewing work permits were actions taken to prevent potential accidents and ensure the safety of employees.

Khodari also considered the daily meetings held before the start of major repairs by supervisors as an important measure in this regard and added: These meetings were held to review potential hazards of daily activities and to raise awareness among workers. He emphasized that adherence to HSE requirements is one of the main priorities of Fajr Jam Gas Refinery, and this approach will be pursued rigorously in ongoing activities.
