Contship has published its first sustainability report, which includes the key performance of the group for the fiscal year 2025 as well as an assessment of its environmental, social, and governance impacts. This report is based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and includes results and initiatives undertaken, as well as a framework for future actions.
Progress in Carbon Reduction
Contship achieved tangible progress in carbon reduction in 2025. After calculating its first carbon footprint, the group succeeded in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 11% compared to 2024. Additionally, it met 100% of its electricity needs at the La Spezia and Melzo operational terminals from renewable sources. Contship also officially joined the Science Based Targets initiative to align its emission reduction goals with climate science and lay the groundwork for its decarbonization roadmap.

Creating a Fair and Inclusive Work Environment
The group is committed to creating a fair, inclusive, and diverse work environment that empowers its employees through ongoing development and participation opportunities. In 2025, over 13,800 hours of training were provided through traditional courses, digital platforms, and job activities. A key element of the program was the "Climate Renewal" workshop for managers, which helped better understand the systemic causes and global solutions to the climate crisis. In terms of diversity and inclusion, Contship strengthened its governance model by establishing a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) committee and launching initiatives to empower women.

Contship emphasizes adherence to ethical business principles, effective governance, responsible supply chain management, and transparent decision-making processes.
