Blue Autonomy today launched the Blue Autonomy Academy (academy.blueautonomy.gr), an online school featuring 39 self-paced courses on ship performance, marine data, and related regulations. This academy was established to enhance knowledge and professional skills in the maritime industry, providing professionals in this field the opportunity to learn and improve performance.

Training Courses and Various Specializations

The training courses are designed for individuals such as technical supervisors, performance analysts, technical and fleet managers, naval architects, and marine engineers. These courses are divided into nine different specializations, including ship resistance and propulsion, hull and propeller performance under ISO 19030, speed tests under ISO 15016, fuel quality and quantity, speed and consumption claims, and CII, EU ETS, and FuelEU Maritime regimes.

Purchase Model and Special Discounts

The training courses are purchased as a one-time payment, and no subscription is required. Until November 20, 2026, the discount code ACADEMY25 offers users a 25% discount on each course and specialization. Additionally, companies purchasing courses for multiple individuals can request a proposal and single invoice.

Each training course concludes with an assessment test and a certificate that can be verified online by each individual and employer. Furthermore, each paid specialization includes a final project. Seven courses are offered completely free of charge, including a full specialization in carbon reduction and maritime compliance, and the first lesson of each paid course is also available for free.

Christos Papandreu, CEO and founder of Blue Autonomy, stated: "Behind every number reported by a ship, there is a calculation that someone has performed. The number of tons in a fuel delivery invoice comes from a measurement, a density, and a temperature correction. Savings after cleaning the ship's hull also stem from a reference period and a weather filter that someone has chosen. The academy trains individuals who sign for these numbers to analyze them, check each input, and stand behind the results, whether the question comes from a charterer, a verifier, or an office."
