Increase in Supermax Index and Decrease in Panamax Index
Meanwhile, the Supermax Index also increased by 1.1 percent to 1890 units, reaching its highest level since August 2022. In contrast to these increases, the Panamax Index, which typically carries 60,000 to 70,000-ton cargoes of coal or grains, decreased by 2.4 percent to 2151 units, marking its lowest level since August 24.
