Alireza Barzin, a petrochemical industry activist, emphasized the importance of this achievement in reducing dependence on imports and developing exports to the Eurasian market by announcing the production of four chemical products in the methanol value chain in Iran. These products, which include pentaerythritol, dipentaerythritol, sodium formate, and paraformaldehyde prill, have been produced for the first time in the country and are competitive in quality with similar foreign samples.
Reducing dependence on imports and meeting domestic needs
Barzin further added: "With the ability to produce these products, meeting the domestic market's needs entirely within the country has become possible, and dependence on imports has been significantly reduced." He also referred to the prospects for export development and entering regional markets, especially in Eurasian countries, stating: "Our current focus is on developing export markets and introducing domestic production capabilities to foreign customers."

Export opportunities in the Eurasian market
Barzin, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Innoprom exhibition in Minsk, said: "Given the quality of the products and assurance of continuous production and maintenance of quality standards, we consider the market of Eurasian countries as one of the suitable opportunities for export development." He also mentioned positive feedback from domestic and foreign customers, stating: "This experience creates a suitable ground for expanding export activities."
This petrochemical industry activist emphasized the importance of establishing direct and sustainable connections with target markets, saying: "The formation of a hub or trade center between Iran and Eurasian countries can play an effective role in developing cooperation." Barzin also pointed out the advantages of reducing intermediaries and facilitating the supply process, stating: "For products that are part of the petrochemical industry's value chain, the continuity of supply and quality stability is of special importance."
According to Barzin, given the specialized nature of the produced products, identifying specialized customers and connecting with end consumers is very important. "Participation in the exhibition not only provides the opportunity for direct customer visits to the booth but also creates a chance to identify and negotiate with specialized companies active in the region, especially Belarus."
He concluded by emphasizing: "Considering the capacity for domestic production, product quality, and the possibility of continuous supply, developing cooperation with Eurasian countries can provide a suitable opportunity for expanding the export of specialized petrochemical products from Iran."
