Ahmad Salari-Far, the manager of the National Oil Products Distribution Company in the Kerman region, announced a 12% decrease in gasoline consumption in this province compared to the same period last year. This decrease is due to the implementation of the fuel allocation plan from gas station cards to smart fuel cards for vehicles starting from August 2025, designed to manage gasoline imbalance, prevent long queues, and enhance transparency in the distribution cycle of products.

Details of the Fuel Allocation Plan

Salari-Far announced that by the end of September, 97.39% of visits to gas stations were registered with personal fuel cards, and only 2.61% of refuels were done using emergency gas station cards. Meanwhile, the national usage ratio of personal cards is about 60% and emergency cards 40%.

Increase in Vehicle Fuel Quotas

According to this plan, a new 50-liter surplus layer valued at 10,000 tomans has been added to the smart fuel cards in the province, increasing the monthly quota for vehicles to 160 liters. This action allows vehicle owners to refuel without restrictions at any time of the day at any gas station.

Salari-Far also mentioned a 26% increase in CNG consumption in August and a 44% increase in September, adding that this increase in consumption is being carried out in collaboration with the CNG project management of the National Oil Products Distribution Company, aimed at converting internet-based vehicles to dual-fuel. So far, SMS invitations for registration have been sent to 2,500 vehicles.

Management of Fuel Allocation for Various Groups

The manager of the National Oil Products Distribution Company in the Kerman region also announced the launch of the "Saba System" for managing fuel allocation for various groups. This system has been designed and implemented to prevent off-network supply and ensure that products reach actual consumers. From the second half of Mehr, the allocation of quotas for school services and educators will also be done through this system.

Salari-Far further referred to the implementation of the instant fuel card issuance plan in Kerman province, stating that with the activation of the instant issuance system, applicants can receive their smart fuel cards in less than 24 hours. Additionally, in collaboration with supervisory bodies, more than 7,000 migrant fuel cards have been identified and blocked at the province's gas stations.
