Yangarra Resources Ltd. has drilled 17 wells in the Bley River field in the Chambers area of Alberta over the past two years. This action is aimed at expanding the drilling inventory and improving well performance. Yangarra has invested $58 million in drilling, completion, and acquiring related land for the Bley River Chambers project.

Field Performance Analysis

According to Yangarra's forecasts, this development is expected to generate $45 million in cash flow by the end of the third quarter of 2026. The current production of the Bley River field is approximately 1,450 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), of which 72 percent consists of liquids. Yangarra has identified 106 future drilling locations in the Bley River field in Chambers and is evaluating an additional area for further inventory expansion.

Improved Results and Future Plans

The company has also reported improvements in results due to changes in well design. The new design, which includes a larger pump at the bottom of the well, has shown 2.5 times higher efficiency compared to the previous design in a direct comparison based on IP90. Yangarra has stated that further actions to improve uptime and production of the wells are being pursued.

During the third quarter, Yangarra completed its commitments for the farm phase for several Cardium wells in southern Chambers. These wells are obtaining Cardium and Bley River facts and are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter as natural gas prices strengthen heading into the winter season.

The remaining drilling program for Yangarra will focus on the development of the Bley River field as well as determining further boundaries in western Chambers. Yangarra has also announced that its in-house field service operations will help control costs and ensure access to equipment and personnel while increasing industrial activities. The company expects the integrated model to help reduce the impact of service cost inflation while advancing its development program.
