Wood has successfully secured a five-year $200 million contract from ExxonMobil PNG to support brownfield projects in the PNG LNG project in Papua New Guinea. This contract includes work at various facilities and related pipeline infrastructure for the project.
Contract Details
This contract specifically includes work at various facilities such as the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant, the LNG plant at Caution Bay, and approximately 700 kilometers of pipeline infrastructure, well platforms, and flowlines. Under this contract, over 200 Wood personnel will be engaged in project management, civil and structural construction, piping and mechanical work, as well as electrical and instrumentation services in Papua New Guinea.

Wood's Role in the PNG LNG Project
Wood has been a key partner for ExxonMobil PNG since 2013, providing engineering, procurement, construction, and operational services for energy projects in Papua New Guinea. Steve Nicol, Wood's Operations Director, stated: "For over a decade, we have supported ExxonMobil PNG in delivering safe and reliable operations for the PNG LNG project. By providing quality construction services, we will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the critical facilities that support the PNG LNG project's infrastructure."
The brownfield work on this project will assist in the continued operation and integrity of the infrastructure used for the production, processing, and transportation of natural gas for LNG export to Asian markets. This contract represents the ongoing collaboration between Wood and ExxonMobil PNG to meet the region's energy needs and strengthen critical infrastructure for natural gas exports.
