Hamid Bord, the caretaker of the Ministry of Oil, today (Tuesday, October 6) visited the Dispatching Center of the National Iranian Gas Company to review the performance of this center in managing the country's gas network. During this visit, he emphasized the importance of sustainable energy supply during the cold seasons and stated: "Sustainable energy supply, especially in the cold months, requires complete coordination among the production, transmission, and distribution sectors of gas."
The Key Role of Dispatching in Energy Supply
Hamid Bord pointed out that dispatching acts as the beating heart of the country's gas network, explaining that this center is responsible for controlling and monitoring the flow of gas. He noted the existing capacities in the country's gas fields, adding: "Optimizing and precisely controlling the flow of gas in these fields can lead to increased efficiency and reduced costs."

Gas Field Capacities and Sustainable Energy Supply
Bord also referred to the production capacities of gas fields, stating: "Gas fields like South Pars, which have a daily production capacity of over 700 million cubic meters of gas, play a crucial role in meeting domestic needs and gas exports." He continued: "Effective management of these fields and coordination among different sectors can contribute to sustainable energy supply."
The caretaker of the Ministry of Oil emphasized the need for investment in updating dispatching equipment and technologies, stating: "The development of modern technologies in dispatching can enhance the performance of this center and pave the way for cost reduction and increased productivity."
He also highlighted the importance of training and empowering human resources in this area, adding: "Investment in human resources and specialized training can lead to increased efficiency and improved service quality in dispatching."
