The meeting of the government's economic team on the subject of targeted subsidies was held with the presence of the First Vice President on October 6. In this meeting, solutions for securing financial resources for implementing targeted subsidies for over 75 million citizens in the second half of the year were discussed.
Review of Subsidy Performance
In this meeting, a report on the performance of the first six months of the current year regarding targeted subsidy expenditures was presented. The main points of this report included cash subsidies, allowances for covered families, investment costs and assistance to distribution and refining companies, flour and bread subsidies, health equity, commodity vouchers, assistance for university nutrition, and the difference in exchange rates for medicine and infant formula.

Preparation of a Comprehensive Energy Saving Package
The First Vice President instructed in this meeting that solutions for collecting government receivables and energy consumption savings be prepared in a comprehensive and specific package. This package will be presented to the government for approval after summarization.
After the approval of this package by the government, its implementation will be carried out in cooperation with the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the judiciary. The goal of this program is to reduce energy consumption and optimize financial resources in support of households and improve the economic conditions of the country.
Considering the rising cost of living and the need for sustainable financial resources, this program can serve as a key solution in resource management and facilitate the process of targeted subsidies.
