The caretaker of the Ministry of Oil, along with the governor of Bushehr and the chairman of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, visited the damaged refineries of the South Pars field today (Tuesday, October 21). Arsalan Zareh highlighted the continuous efforts of oil industry workers to control the fire and reconstruct the damaged facilities during this visit.

Reconstruction operations under difficult conditions

Zareh emphasized that oil industry workers acted immediately after the attack on the facilities to control the fire, stating: "After conducting expert assessments, debris removal operations began, and this work continued during the summer. In conditions of over 40 degrees Celsius and more than 70 percent humidity, workers have been tirelessly working around the clock to reconstruct the damaged facilities."

Support from the Ministry of Oil and public participation

The governor of Bushehr referred to the workers as martyrs who are continuously pursuing the reconstruction of the damaged facilities to reduce energy supply problems in the winter season. He also emphasized the necessity of public participation in energy consumption management, stating: "Just as the people cooperated with the government last winter, it is expected that this year they will also help their servants by optimizing energy consumption."

The caretaker of the Ministry of Oil, Hamid Bord, also visited the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth refineries of South Pars to review the reconstruction process and actions taken to revive the damaged sections of these refineries. These actions are aimed at preserving and ensuring production capacity in the South Pars gas field, which is considered one of the largest natural gas resources in the world.

Considering that completing the reconstruction of all damaged sections before the onset of winter is not feasible, Zareh referred to the support from the Ministry of Oil for the reconstruction process, stating: "The Ministry of Oil has not spared any effort in providing the necessary facilities, equipment, and support; although the construction of some equipment naturally takes time."
