Development and Production in Canada
Martín Castro, President of Tenaris in Canada, noted that with the increasing environmental challenges in the energy industry, customers are looking for pipes that can provide reliable performance in harsh conditions. This steel has the necessary capabilities to meet these needs. Producing this steel in Canada allows Tenaris to respond directly to customer needs and improve product quality.
To integrate this steel into the Canadian production line, Tenaris had to adapt existing production processes and conduct necessary tests and follow-ups for each pipe. Various teams, including operations, metallurgy, information technology, and laboratories, collaborated on this project.
Pablo Toy, Vice President of Tenaris in Canada, stated, "This development strengthens Tenaris's ability to serve Canadian customers with a product that is produced in Canada and responds to their changing needs." This step represents Tenaris's strategic action in the Canadian market and the company's commitment to meeting local market needs.
