Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, held a meeting this morning, Wednesday, October 29, 1405, with the presence of Cabinet members to review the reconstruction process of the country's oil and gas facilities. In this meeting, ministers and Cabinet members presented a report on the latest status of refineries and oil and gas facilities in the country.
Status of Oil and Gas Facility Reconstruction
In this meeting, it was emphasized that the reconstruction of oil and gas facilities in various regions of the country, especially the South Pars gas field, should be pursued vigorously. The gas production capacity of this field, as one of the largest gas fields in the world, is estimated to exceed 1,000 million cubic meters per day. This field plays a key role in supplying the country's energy and its exports.

Officials from the Ministry of Oil and other relevant organizations presented a report on the progress made in the reconstruction of oil facilities. This report included details related to the repair and renovation of equipment and facilities related to the extraction and refining of oil and gas. Additionally, the necessity for greater cooperation and coordination among responsible agencies was emphasized.
Weekly Reports and Continuous Follow-ups
To expedite the reconstruction process, it was decided that progress reports on the reconstruction operations would be submitted to the Cabinet on a weekly basis. These reports will include the level of progress, challenges, and implementation requirements to continuously monitor and follow up on the status of reconstruction projects.
Furthermore, the Minister of Foreign Affairs also provided a report on the latest status of negotiations and consultations held with delegations that had traveled to the country to finalize discussions. These negotiations aim to enhance international cooperation in the oil and gas sector and attract foreign investments.
During this meeting, the regulations for the development of health tourism were also approved, indicating the government's attention to developing this sector as one of the pillars of the national economy.
