Need for a Centralized Structure for Investment
The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company emphasized that in the past, a significant portion of activities was financed from internal sources. However, today, due to the need to utilize diverse financial resources, the formation of project-oriented companies, and attracting investments, more complexities have arisen in the execution and management of projects. Hatami stressed the need to create a clear structure for guiding and coordinating investment matters, stating: "Currently, some investment-related activities are carried out in various management areas; therefore, establishing a centralized structure in this area can help increase coordination and clarify responsibilities."
He also emphasized the importance of unity in organizational decision-making and creating a uniform approach in executing processes, suggesting that some new structures, including in the area of tax affairs, should initially be established at the main company level. This action could pave the way for greater coordination and cohesion, as well as the development and extension of these structures to operating companies.
Aligning Structure with New Needs
Hatami further stated that the continuous alignment of the organizational structure with changing missions, laws and regulations, investment requirements, and operational needs is a critical necessity for the company. He considered targeted reviews of structures as a foundation for greater organizational coordination and more effective responses to the needs of the National Iranian South Oil Company.
