Pipetech is expanding its oil and gas operations in the North Sea of Norway by establishing a new center in Sandnes with an investment of over 6 million Norwegian kroner (NOK). The company, known as a specialist in flow restoration, has provided six offices, workshop facilities, and yard space in this new center covering 950 square meters.
Establishment of the New Center and Its Facilities
The new Pipetech center in Sandnes allows the company to receive customer equipment and perform pipe cleaning and process services locally. These services include Aqua Milling technology and high-pressure water jetting used to remove wax, hard scale, and other deposits that can restrict flow and impact asset performance.
Investment in Equipment and Upgrades
Pipetech has invested over 6 million Norwegian kroner to upgrade its center and vehicle fleet and has purchased additional equipment for the Norwegian energy sector. This investment includes a high-flow pump compliant with NORSOK Z-015 standards for the Norwegian marine market, capable of delivering 182 liters per minute at pressures up to 1020 bar.
This pump supports Pipetech's Aqua Milling technology and DSR tools and expands the company's pipe cleaning and process capabilities in Norway. Leonard Hemilt, Pipetech's Operations Manager, stated: "We have a rich history in Norway, and this is just the latest chapter. With the new center and the investments we've made in new equipment, we are well-positioned for 2027."
Appointment of New Sales Manager for Norway
Pipetech has also appointed Henning Petersen as the Sales Manager for Norway. Petersen, with over 10 years of experience in the Norwegian oil and gas supply chain, will assist Pipetech and its parent company, Denholm Environment, in seeking new opportunities in the Norwegian market.
Pipetech, founded 26 years ago in Stavanger, has announced that this expansion is part of a long-term effort to strengthen its presence in Norway and support offshore operators across the Norwegian maritime area.
