Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) has strengthened its digital navigation, visualization, and situational awareness capabilities in subsea well response operations by adding 4D Nav LLC to the Global Subsea Response Network (GSRN). This move enables OSRL to respond more effectively to complex subsea incidents.

4D Nav specializes in marine navigation software, real-time operational visualization, remote situational awareness, and digital project modeling. This technology helps response teams maintain a shared understanding of the positions of vessels, activities of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), subsea assets, exclusion zones, and other infrastructure during complex marine incidents.

The company's capabilities can support coordination of multiple vessels, ROV tracking, planning for wellhead lock deployment, and split operations in shallow waters. Additionally, recorded operational data and replay capabilities can be used for post-incident analysis and response drills.

As part of this network, 4D Nav will collaborate with OSRL and other participants to determine how digital tools, regional survey capabilities, data integration, and remote support can be incorporated into planning and training for subsea well responses.
