Peyman Imani, CEO of the Central Oil Fields Company of Iran, announced on the third day of the production forecasting meetings of the Central Oil Fields Company of Iran that production in the first half of this year has increased by 3,000 barrels per day due to the efforts and diligence of the employees.
Geographical and Operational Status of the Fields
The oil and gas fields in the western part of the country are located in rugged and underprivileged areas, adjacent to approximately 700 kilometers of shared border with Iraq. These conditions have created challenges, especially in the supply and transportation of oil and gas, but despite these problems, production has been achieved according to mandatory programs.
Maintenance and Reproduction Plans
Imani referred to the implementation of maintenance and reproduction plans for old wells and stated: These plans aim to bring old wells back into production and prevent the drilling of new wells in the Danan and Dehloran fields. With these measures, the cost and time of operations have been significantly reduced.
The CEO of the Central Oil Fields Company of Iran also mentioned the implementation of the 12-inch Danan pipeline project and stated: With the completion and connection of this 48-kilometer pipeline with a capacity to transport 15 million cubic feet of associated gas to the Dehloran pressure boosting station, the supply chain for the NGL 3100 plant will be completed.
Increase in Production in the Western Fields
Mahmoud Nasiri, CEO of the West Oil and Gas Exploitation Company, also elaborated on the actions taken to achieve production programs, stating: The production maintenance plan for abandoned wells began two years ago, and currently, by repairing and bringing these wells back into operation, about 3,000 barrels per day have been added to oil production. Additionally, the necessary surface equipment for some wells in the covered fields has been provided, stabilizing production at about 2,300 barrels of oil per day.
Safety and Environmental Health Performance
Nasiri also referred to the performance of the West Oil and Gas Exploitation Company in the field of safety, health, and the environment, stating: This company is among the leading organizations in implementing the Process Safety Management (PSM) system, and in the past two and a half years, no process incidents have been recorded in this company. Development of communication infrastructure, reopening of the Baba Habib road, upgrading technical service equipment for wells, and major repairs of machinery are other important actions taken.
The CEO of the West Oil and Gas Exploitation Company emphasized that all actions taken aim to increase the reliability of facilities, sustain and maintain production, and prepare the necessary infrastructure for the implementation of developmental programs in this company. Meetings related to the second half of the year 1405 were also held from October 5 to 7 to achieve the oil and gas production programs in the operational areas managed by the Central Oil Fields Company of Iran.
