Nor-Shipping 2027 introduces a new phase called Focus Stage with the aim of enhancing knowledge exchange in the maritime industry. This new platform, located in Hall G, designed as the main entrance to the exhibitions, will address important and fast-paced topics in the maritime industry.
Focus Stage Specialized Programs
All Focus Stage sessions will be free and accessible for visitors and participants. This program will kick off in 2027 with contemporary topics such as maritime artificial intelligence, ports, and maritime marketing. All programs are designed by top experts in these three fields.

Transformation in the Maritime Industry
Sidsel Norvik, the director of Nor-Shipping, said: "Nor-Shipping, like the industry it serves, is continuously evolving. Our international attendees come not only to network and do business but also to understand the latest industry developments, identify opportunities, and make profitable decisions."
The Focus Stage is designed to synergize with Blue Talks as part of Nor-Shipping's open programs. These programs will develop daily around specific topics and can shift between sessions to reflect new priorities and opportunities.
On June 8, the Focus Stage will begin with an in-depth session on maritime artificial intelligence. These sessions, in collaboration with the Norwegian Centre for Maritime Artificial Intelligence, will explore innovations, collaborations, and practical applications of AI in the industry's value chain.
On June 9, the focus will shift to ports, examining the latest developments in smart port development, digitalization, sustainability, and infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to discover how ports are adapting to new technologies and changing logistics needs.
The final day of the Focus Stage will be dedicated to marketing and communications, a professional community that typically lacks a specific place at major maritime events. On this day, two special awards named Stand of the Year and Voice of the Year will be presented.
Norvik added: "Effective marketing and communications help maritime companies to be seen and convey their value in an increasingly competitive and complex industry." This event will be an opportunity to recognize the efforts of these professionals and provide them with a dedicated platform.
With this approach, Nor-Shipping 2027 will continue to create a platform for in-depth exploration of relevant topics and provide accessible insights and expertise for all visitors.
