Mohammad Reza Zamani, describing the latest status of this organization's medical projects in the south of the country, announced that the new Abadan hospital has reached about 95% progress, and the construction of the Assaluyeh trauma center and the Mosque-Soleiman hospital are 56% and 85% complete, respectively.

Status of the New Abadan Hospital

The construction of the new Abadan hospital began in 2009, and after the completion of contracts with two contractors, the project has continued with a third contractor. Currently, the project's progress has reached about 95%, and the landscaping operations for this hospital started in February of last year. In this regard, the northern and southern areas are being executed with appropriate progress.

Zamani also stated that parts of the project, including drywall and tiling, have been executed, and the electricity and gas supply are being carried out in collaboration with the health and treatment management of Abadan hospital and Abadan refinery. The purchase of necessary equipment, including diesel, laundry, and kitchen equipment, is also on the agenda, and about 15 small contracts for completing various sections of the project are being pursued by the engineering management.

Mosque-Soleiman Hospital and Assaluyeh Trauma Center Projects

The Mosque-Soleiman hospital, with a footprint of about 4,000 square meters, is currently under construction with approximately 85% progress. The operations for waterproofing, wall tiling, and mechanical and electrical installations of this project are underway, and to complete it, adjustments to the existing budget are necessary, with efforts ongoing to obtain the relevant approval from the Ministry of Oil. Additionally, the purchase of the project's chiller is in progress, and major purchases will be made through the system once conditions are met.

The Assaluyeh trauma center, which faced land changes and construction stoppages, is now under construction with about 56% progress. The foundation and structure of the project have been completed, and the construction of the surrounding and internal walls is in progress. The necessary pipes for the project, including sewage pipes, have been purchased, and the procurement of channel sheets is also being followed up.

Zamani reported on the follow-up of the Koyi Mellat Clinic project in Ahvaz, stating that after the termination of the previous contractor's contract, the project's budget was adjusted, and the final estimate by the consultant has been completed. The bidding process is being pursued in the bidding commission, and its public call has also been published so that after selecting a contractor, the project's execution can continue.

Zamani, referring to the continuation of the project under sanctions and the 12 and 40-day wars, expressed hope that the new Abadan hospital would be inaugurated by the end of the year. This hospital has about 28,000 square meters of built-up area, and after it becomes operational, a significant portion of hospital services will be transferred to the new building.

Finally, the director of engineering and construction of the Oil Industry Health and Treatment Organization announced the board's preliminary approval for 12 new projects in Rasht, Bushehr, Mashhad, and East Tehran Polyclinic, adding that these projects are at various stages, including funding, design, and consultant selection, and it is hoped that they will be operational in the coming years.
