Mohammad Reza Aref, during a meeting of the Supreme Energy Council chaired by him, reviewed proposed scenarios for managing gas consumption in residential, commercial, public, industrial, agricultural, transportation, and power generation sectors. In this meeting, the share of consumption for each of these sectors was approved, and efforts to increase gas production capacity were emphasized.
Emphasis on Energy Conservation
Aref, referring to the imbalance in the energy sector, especially gas, assessed the recent trend of reducing energy imbalances positively. He stated: "In recent months, there has been a very good trend in reducing these imbalances." The First Vice President also pointed to the damages caused by the recent imposed war on energy infrastructure and reported on round-the-clock efforts to compensate for these damages.

Solar Energy Development Program
Aref referred to the government's program for solar energy development and said: "The President holds several expert-level meetings each week to achieve policies that address some of the energy imbalances through solar energy production." He emphasized that ensuring energy for industry and agriculture is a prerequisite for government managers and urged the public to assist the government by conserving electricity and gas.
He also mentioned the possibility of power outages to supply energy for industry, stating: "Cutting off electricity to industries means shutting down production and leaving workers unemployed." Aref further emphasized the necessity of public cooperation in reducing energy consumption and announced that if necessary, the energy prices for high-consumption households would be calculated at cost price.
Status of the Country's Gas Network
The First Vice President continued by providing statistics on the status of the country's gas network, stating: "250 million cubic meters of gas have been removed from the network, but we are working to return 100 million cubic meters to the network before the onset of winter." Aref also emphasized that all relevant executive agencies are in the field and are working to achieve this goal.
He concluded by calling for a program to reduce energy consumption in residential and governmental sectors and emphasized that the government must also play its part in reducing consumption. Aref urged government managers: "There must be a macro perspective in energy consumption management, and all ministers and managers must share the concern and duty of maintaining the stability of the energy network."
