Masoud Pezeshkian stated yesterday (Saturday, October 10) during a meeting with elites and celebrities of Tehran province: If we do not impose sanctions on ourselves and do not selectively eliminate ourselves, the enemy cannot eliminate us or bring us to our knees. We must strive to create a suitable environment for the emergence and expression of the talents and abilities of all the youth of the country.
The necessity of unity and solidarity to overcome problems
Pezeshkian emphasized the need for unity and solidarity to overcome current problems, adding: If we join hands, no power can bring us down. The enemy thought that by martyring our leader, commanders, scientists, and other great figures of our country, they could bring us to our knees, but if we act based on brotherhood and kindness and distance ourselves from exclusionary approaches, the enemy will fail to achieve its goals.
Environmental issues and energy imbalance
The President pointed to issues of water, soil, and other environmental problems in Tehran, criticizing the overpopulation in this city and province, and said: If we continue the current trend, the problems of Tehran will increase day by day, and solving them will become more out of reach. It is our duty to make the right decisions and act correctly; otherwise, we will be indebted to future generations.
Pezeshkian emphasized the necessity of public cooperation and participation to overcome energy imbalance and added: With God's hope and the solidarity and cooperation of the people, we will overcome these difficult conditions. We are determined that the wheel of production does not stop, so if necessary, we will turn off the energy of some government sectors. The people will also help us overcome these problems.
In this meeting, Seyyed Mohammad Hassan Abutorabi-Fard, the Imam of Friday prayers in Tehran and the head of the Cultural Council of Tehran province, Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian, the governor of Tehran, Alireza Zakani, the mayor of Tehran, Mohsen Hajimirzai, the head of the President's office, Ali Rabiei, the social assistant to the President, Elias Hazrati, the head of the government's information council, and Ahmad Masjed-Jamei, the former Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance were present.
