Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, on September 20, emphasized the serious implementation of the Car-Free Day initiative in government and executive bodies. He stated the importance of the behavior of managers and officials in this regard, saying: "If we are to invite people to take action, we must lead by example and start the change in behavior from the government itself."
The Necessity of Cooperation to Reduce Energy Consumption
Pezeshkian added: "All social and institutional capacities of the country must be activated to help reduce energy consumption, preserve employment, and ensure the continuity of active production units." He emphasized the need to utilize remote work capabilities and the possibility of reducing the use of certain office buildings, stating: "Any action that can help reduce consumption, manage resources, and at the same time maintain the flow of production in the country should be considered by executive bodies."

Nationwide Mobilization to Preserve Employment
The President stated: "In the current situation, we need a nationwide mobilization and comprehensive cooperation to keep the wheels of production in motion using all available capacities and to create conditions for preserving employment and continuing economic activities." He also emphasized the importance of creating a suitable environment for economic activities and encouraging society to participate in this matter.
Pezeshkian further referred to the importance of energy consumption management as a national necessity, saying: "Energy consumption management not only helps reduce costs but also contributes to the preservation of the environment and the country's natural resources." He called for serious attention to this issue at all levels of society and emphasized the need for cultural development in this area.
He also pointed out the negative impacts of neglecting energy consumption management on the country's economy, adding: "Ignoring this issue can lead to increased production costs and reduced competitiveness of production units."
