Behrouz Kamalvandi, Deputy Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, in his speech at the 70th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency, emphasized the durability of the country's nuclear industry and stated that no pressure or threat can destroy this industry.

Emphasis on the Facts and History of Iran's Nuclear Industry

Kamalvandi further referred to the 80-year history of nuclear science and technology in Iran and stated that the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran is currently 52 years old. He added: "Iran is one of the first countries to join the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and has adhered to this treaty, always behaving transparently."

He also referred to the continuous pressures and sanctions imposed by the United States against Iran, stating that his country has endured these pressures for over 25 years. Kamalvandi emphasized that Iran has adhered to international agreements, including the JCPOA, and continued its commitments in the face of the U.S. withdrawal from this agreement.

Response to Military Threats

Kamalvandi, in another part of his speech, referred to military threats from the U.S. and Israel, saying: "Iran will not surrender to these pressures at all and will secure its nuclear facilities against threats." He also mentioned false reports regarding Iran's nuclear activities and hostile actions against the Iranian nation.

The Deputy Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran emphasized that inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency have not reported any diversion in Iran's nuclear activities in their inspections so far. He called on the Director General of the Agency to clarify its positions regarding military attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Kamalvandi also referred to recent developments in nuclear negotiations, stating: "With the change of government in the U.S., negotiations to return to the JCPOA began, but unfortunately, the U.S. refrained from signing the agreement."

In conclusion, Kamalvandi, emphasizing the historical and scientific facts of Iran's nuclear industry, reiterated the continuation of peaceful nuclear activities and stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran will never compromise on its legitimate rights in this regard.
