Well number AZNS-156 in the Azadegan oil field has joined the production cycle as the first well of the project for the installation and commissioning of electric submersible pumps (ESP) with a capacity of 130 horsepower, following the completion of installation and commissioning operations. Ismail Gholampour Ahangar, the project manager for the development of the Azadegan oil field, announced that this operation was carried out from October 4 to October 23 over a period of 20 days.
Details of the Installation and Commissioning of the Electric Submersible Pump
The installation and commissioning operation of the electric submersible pump in well AZNS-156 was carried out to enhance oil flow and increase production. After the completion of this operation, the daily production of the well increased from 435 barrels to 1,710 barrels, representing an increase of nearly four times in the production of this well.
Importance of Azadegan Oil Field
The shared Azadegan field, as one of the important oil fields in the country, pays special attention to increasing production capacity and improving well efficiency in its development plans. The use of electric submersible pumps (ESP) is one of the key methods to compensate for pressure drop and enhance oil flow in this field. This technology provides the necessary force to transfer fluid to the surface, enabling increased production from wells whose natural production capacity has declined.
The installation of electric submersible pumps has previously been pursued in the South Azadegan field to revive wells and increase production, yielding positive results. These efforts demonstrate a serious commitment to enhancing production levels and optimizing the use of the country's oil resources.
