Keramat Veys-Kermani explained the identification scheme for refueling with free station cards at today's press conference (Sunday, November 3). This scheme has been implemented based on minimizing the use of free station cards to increase transparency and traceability in fuel distribution.
Details of Gasoline Consumption in Shahrivar
From the beginning of Shahrivar until September 16, 1405, 41% of refueling was done with emergency cards and 59% with personal fuel cards. Veys-Kermani announced that the average daily gasoline consumption in the first 16 days of Shahrivar this year was 144 million liters, with 59 million liters of gasoline refueled using free cards daily.
Implementation of the Scheme in Tehran
The identification scheme for free station cards has been launched with the aim of optimally allocating fuel quotas to vehicles and motorcycles and is currently active at 250 stations in Tehran. Veys-Kermani emphasized that when refueling with a personal smart card, all details including vehicle type, quota amount, and withdrawal volume are accurately recorded in each transaction. Meanwhile, in refueling with station cards, the recipient's information and vehicle type were not specified.
Veys-Kermani also referred to gasoline consumption statistics for Mehr month, stating that an average of 20 million liters of gasoline was consumed in Tehran during this month. This figure was about 20 million and 700 thousand liters in Mehr 1404, indicating a reduction of approximately 20 million liters in gasoline distribution in Tehran province following the implementation of this scheme.
He emphasized the need for transparency in fuel distribution, noting that previous approaches to limit station cards had created problems for fellow citizens. Therefore, this scheme has been implemented to facilitate people's refueling while adhering to the law.
