Hamidreza Saghafi, CEO of Petropars Group, announced that the company has reached a production of one billion cubic feet of gas per day from Phase 11 of the South Pars gas field. This increase in production capacity is due to the increase in the number of active wells and the continuation of drilling operations and well completions in this phase.
Increase in Production Capacity and Drilling
Saghafi stated: The number of active wells in Position B of Phase 11 has increased from four to twelve, and the gas production capacity of this position has doubled in the first 17 months of the 14th government. During this period, more than 26,480 meters of drilling has been carried out, and well completion and acidizing operations are also ongoing to bring all wells into production.

The CEO of Petropars Group emphasized: Reaching a production of one billion cubic feet per day in Position B is the result of the continuation of drilling operations, well completions, and preparing them for production. This increase in production in one of the most border-sensitive areas of the South Pars joint field, in addition to its importance in safeguarding national interests, also strengthens the country's gas supply and helps reduce energy imbalance.
Development of Phase 11 and Its Impacts
Saghafi emphasized: After the breach of contract and exit of foreign companies, the continuation of the development of Phase 11 was entrusted to Petropars. Today, with the commissioning of the twelfth well, gas production at Platform B of Phase 11 has reached over 28 million cubic meters per day, with nearly 17 million cubic meters added to its daily production in the 14th government. In this process, about 50,000 meters of drilling has been conducted in Position B, and a drilling rig has also been utilized in the drilling operations.
He also referred to the development process of Position A of Phase 11 and said: In the 14th government, after verticalizing the jacket and completing the construction, loading, and bracing operations, this jacket has been installed in its final position. Simultaneously with these actions, pile driving operations have continued in the tense environment of the Persian Gulf, and despite the difficult conditions, the construction of the deck is still ongoing. The progress of this project has increased from less than 4% to about 50%.
Saghafi concluded by emphasizing: Phase 11 has now reached a point where the work of Iranian specialists is directly reflected in the increase in production and the advancement of field development. Petropars will continue the development of this phase with a focus on increasing production capacity, safeguarding national interests, and implementing the policies of the Ministry of Oil.
