Hamid Bord, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, pointed out the importance of the oil industry as one of the essential pillars of the country's economy, stating that this industry is currently in an unequal war. He emphasized, "Just as the enemy has plans for military and civilian infrastructure, it has also planned for oil facilities."

Oil and Gas Production in Critical Conditions

The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company said, "The enemy has considered actions such as bombing, sanctions, and naval blockade to strike oil facilities." However, Bord clarified that the employees of the National Iranian Oil Company, through their jihadist and scientific efforts, have managed to maintain production and are in a better position compared to neighboring countries. He added, "In some countries in the region, oil production has stopped, but our production continues."

Bord, responding to rumors about pipe bursts and tank explosions, said, "These analyses are untechnical and impractical." He emphasized that this situation is manageable, based on a hundred years of experience in the oil industry in Iran, and that sustainable production continues. Additionally, the country's exports and supply chain are fully under control.

Production Records and Flaring Gas Collection

This official also spoke about production performance over the past two years, stating, "During this period, the eight-year record in oil production was broken, with production increasing by over 200,000 barrels." He referred to the record in gas production, noting the success in achieving a production of one billion and 100 million cubic meters per day. Bord urged the public to conserve energy to ensure energy supply continues in the coming days.

The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company also mentioned the flaring gas collection project, stating, "Previously, about 5 million cubic meters of associated gas had been collected, which has now reached 15 million cubic meters." This represents a 300 percent increase in flaring gas collection. The goal is to collect another 21 million cubic meters by the end of the year, bringing the total to 36 million cubic meters per day.

Bord concluded by stating that a project to collect 200 million cubic feet of associated gas will soon be launched, and serious plans for West Karun are under review.
