Experience in Investment and Energy
Hoshyari has also served as the CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cement Investment Company (SITA). This company is recognized as one of the active entities in investing in the cement industry and related sectors. His background also includes financial restructuring and the development of export markets. Prior to his appointment to PIDMCO, he was the CEO of Ofogh Green Energy Supply Company, thus he has experience in the energy sector as well.
PIDMCO, as one of the executive and engineering arms of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Group, has completed over 28 projects with an investment of more than $15 billion and is managing 25 active projects valued at over $11 billion. The petrochemical projects of Almas, Polymers Gachsaran, and Dehdasht Petrochemical are among the important plans of this company.
Given Hoshyari's previous experiences in manufacturing and investment industries, he can help in better management and coordination among contractors and suppliers with a proper understanding of the ongoing projects. This appointment comes at a time when large petrochemical projects require integrated management and continuous oversight of executive progress.
Previously, Mostafa Motedin was responsible for managing the Petrochemical Industries Development Management Company, and after Hoshyari's appointment, he moved to Esteghlal Club. Hoshyari's managerial record in various industries has provided him with a new opportunity to apply his experience in one of the important sectors of Iran's economy.
Considering the volume of investment and the number of projects under the company's management, the responsibility of overseeing PIDMCO goes beyond a typical managerial transition and can have significant impacts on the country's petrochemical industry.
